Kano State announces resumption of school for students in JSS1 & SS1

The Kano state government has approved the full resumption of JSS 1 and SS 1 Students in both public and private schools in the state. This was disclosed by the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru.

He said that all JSS 1 and SS1 students in boarding Schools should resume tomorrow Sunday the 15th November 2020 while those in the Day schools should resume on Monday 16th November 2020.

Subsequently, the pupils of Primary schools 1-6 should also resume fully from next Monday as against the earlier directives that categorize dates for their going to school.

He then called on the attention of the parents whose children are in those classes to comply by returning them on the slated dates.

The commissioner then directed the Directors/ Principals and other stakeholders to be prepared for the resumption exercise.

It could be recalled that the students of JSS 1 and SS1 were directed to stay at home for five weeks.
