Anambra state emerges overall best in just concluded common entrance exams

Out of a total of 70,580 candidates who sat for the nationwide Common Entrance Examination, Crucifixio Chinua Umeonyiagu , a pupil of God’s Wisdom International Primary School, Nnewi, in Anambra State has emerged as the overall best candidate by scoring 199 marks out of 200.

This was confirmed in a statement released by the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, C. Don Adinuba, in Awka on November 23.

The NECO Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Godswill Obioma, who presented the results to the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu in Abuja, revealed that Anambra’s Umeonyiagu was trailed by Onwuamanam Udochukwu from Enugu State with 198 marks and Salaam Mariam Aderemilekun from Lagos State with 197 marks.
