The prosecuting council in the case involving the management of Deeper life high school Uyo and an 11-year old JSS1 student of the school, Don Davies Archibong has said that the case will start afresh.
He disclosed this while speaking to reporters on a telephone interview. According to David Okokon, the case will commence afresh as a result of the transfer of the presiding magistrate and because the case was still at its preliminary stage before the transfer.
Accordingly, the accused person’s would take their pleas afresh and thereafter be admitted for bail.
The case has Deeper life high school principal, Mrs. Ndidi Solomon, Joseph Nseabasi, Apkabio Johnson, Egor Wilson and Joseph Ikenna as defendants.
Two minors shallom ibukun and Ola Feyesetan are also among the defendants facing allegations bordering on sexual molestation, maltreatment, starvation and negligence.
