Posted by MTH216 on 20th January, 2021   |   Comments It has come to our notice that many candidates who applied for admission into AFIT are yet to upload their O’level results on the JAMB portal. Accordingly, all candidates are advised to upload their O’level results at any JAMB office or JAMB accredited CBT centre. Having done the upload, you should login to https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility/Login to crosscheck if your results are successfully uploaded and listed on the JAMB profile. Those whose results are not listed in their profile should go back to the JAMB office or CBT centre where they uploaded their results to complain and make sure that the results are uploaded not later than 29 January 2021. All candidates that fail to upload their results to JAMB portal by this date will not be considered for admission in AFIT.   Thank you

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British Government funded Africa Clean Energy Technical Assistance Facility (ACE TAF), programme in efforts to improve off-grid energy access in Lagos.   The ACE TAF is a four-year programme being implemented by Tetra Tech International Development, and funded by the UK Government Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).   Under the pact, ACE TAF will provide technical assistance to Lagos state in improving the state’s policy and regulatory framework for off-grid solar, and strengthen the capacity of the state energy institutions and infrastructure on off-grid solar. Wike douses Sokoto market fire with whopping N500m

Fire raged through a market in Sokoto State but Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has doused it with half a billion naira. Governor Wike shelled out N0.5 billon to help traders that lost goods at a market fire in Sokoto and also rebuild the market. The governor rushed to Sokoto soon after news broke that one of the largest markets in Nigeria in Sokoto had just been gutted by fire. Wike who seems to take his generosity outside the state once again after the N200m he donated to Benue State said he had empathy for the Sokoto traders. Wike made the pledge on behalf of the State government during a visit to the governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, on Wednesday. Governor Wike who was conducted round the destroyed market by Governor Aminu Tambuwal said he was saddened by the devastating fire that razed over 60 per cent of the 16000 shops there. Photo: SHUTTERSTOCK Nigerian equities market extended negative sentiments at the end of yesterday’s transactions on the trading floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), causing the All Share Index (ASI) depreciate further by 0.07 per cent. Yesterday, the ASI shed 30.75 absolute points, representing a loss of 0.07 per cent to close at 41,051.63 points. Accordingly, investors lost N16 billion in value as market capitalisation went down to N21.475 trillion. The downturn was impacted by losses recorded in medium and large value stocks, including Ardova Plc, BUA Cement, UAC of Nigeria (UACN), Access Bank, and Red Star Express Analysts at Afrinvest Limited said:  “Following two consecutive days of losses, we expect investors to take position in bell wethers.
